Our guest on this edition of Epistemicast has sought to analyse and address this challenge. In an inspirational paper in the journal Nature, Devan Ray Donaldson, Associate Professor at Indiana University, has studied the data management practices of US scientists in a number of fields. He examined how various features within digital repositories can help serve them more effectively.
In our conversation, Donaldson outlines his study, its key findings, and provides details of the Data Repository Appropriateness Rubrik he has created to help researchers navigate and evaluate the, often confusing, technology options.
